Commercial Electrical Fault Finding
Find the cause, not just the symptom
Intermittent trips, loss of power, failed lighting and unusual equipment behaviour can have several possible causes. Replacing parts without testing can waste time and leave the original issue unresolved. Fault finding follows the evidence through the affected circuit or equipment, while considering recent work, patterns and operating conditions reported by the site.

Intermittent electrical problems
Review when the fault occurs, what equipment is operating and whether heat, moisture or loading may be relevant.
Lighting and control faults
Investigate failed groups of lights, faulty sensors, timers, controls and repeated lamp or driver failures.
Tripping circuits and loss of power
Test affected circuits and connected equipment to establish why protective devices operate or an area loses supply.
Commercial faults we can investigate
Useful information from staff and site records can make intermittent problems easier to trace.

What to provide before the visit
Record what happened, when it occurred, which areas were affected and what equipment was in use. Avoid repeatedly resetting devices or opening electrical equipment. If there are signs of immediate danger, keep people away from the affected area and follow the site's emergency procedure.
